DRDO Scientific Entry Test (SET)

DRDO’s Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) conducts screening test named DRDO SET for direct recruitment of Scientist ‘B’.

Important Dates/Information for DRDO-SET exam
DRDO-SET is conducted on all India basis on 1st Sunday of September every year in order to provide equal opportunity to all students from different educational institutions. Click here to see important dates for DRDO-SET exam this year.

In cases, where very few vacancies are available, NO SET exam is conducted and the individuals are directly called for the interview. The advertisement generally appears during the month of April / May every year.

Note : Out of above reservation, 10 (01 current + 09 backlog) vacancies are reserved for PHP(Physically Handicapped persons), in which 05 vacancies are reserved for Orthopaedic Handicapped(OH) and 05 vacancies for Hearing Handicapped(HH) persons in the non-exempted disciplines marked with asterisk (*). However, DRDS cadre in DRDO, has been exempted from the purview of Section-33 of Persons with Disability Act, 1995, in the areas of Chemical Engg ,Electrical Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg and Mechanical Engg.

DRDO SET exam is conducted only for those subjects where vacancies are sizable in number.
