Engineering students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th from relevant branches excluding Civil, Mechanical, mining and Chemical Engineering.
Equipping future/potential staff engineers with more modern technology with hands on experience along with theoretical knowledge.
Course spans two full weeks, Monday to Friday. The trainees will be assigned various projects upon which they will be assessed. Reading material will be handed out in CDs to individual students.
This program includes an overview of telecommunications networks, an introduction to the principles of the telecommunication industry, mobile technologies, including GSM and CDMA, and emerging trends in telecom networking. Trainees will also visit the telephone exchange and transmission center and GSM, CDMA, NOC (network operations center), and MPLS (multi-protocol label switching) center.
