Amrita School of Business (ASB), earlier known as Amrita Institute of Management, was started in 1996 by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
- The MBA Degree Programme (earlier termed Post Graduate Diploma in Management or PGDM) is a fully residential two-year Programme at the Coimbatore campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
- The School/ Programme has been approved/ accredited/ recognized by AICTE, NBA and AIU
- Admissions to ASB is through Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs, followed by Group Discussion and Interview
Eligibility for MBA
Bachelorís Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelorís degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary/Pre-degree examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelorís degree exam may also apply subject to completing their exams or viva-voce, if any, before 30th June 2009. Such candidates will have to fulfill the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence latest by 31st October 2009.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will get an added advantage for admissions.
Scores accepted for MBA Admission
For Amritaís MBA Program at Bangalore and Coimbatore - Common Admission Test (CAT).
For admissions at Amritapuri and Kochi Campuses - MAT (Feb 2008 onwards), CAT
NRIs and Foreign Nationals are required to take the GMAT.
