Important Notice - DRDO Scientist recruitment via GATE Score
Requirement of Valid GATE Score for Direct Recruitment of Scientist `B’ in DRDO Be it known to the candidates desirous of recruitment to the post of Scientist `B’ in the Defence Research & Development Organisation that the organisation would be notifying vacancies of Scientist `B’ for the year 2018 in the next few months, depending upon the requirement. The direct recruitment to the post of Scientist `B’ will be conducted based on valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score (in respect of vacancies in the subjects/disciplines for which GATE is conducted) and interview. Only those candidates who will have valid GATE score on the crucial date of eligibility will be considered for shortlisting for recruitment.
Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) works under Department of Defence Research and Development of Ministry of Defence. DRDO dedicatedly working towards enhancing self-reliance in Defence Systems and undertakes design & development leading to production of world class weapon systems and equipment in accordance with the expressed needs and the qualitative requirements laid down by the three services.

Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC)
RAC has been entrusted with the prime responsibilities in the recruitment and assessment of scientists at various levels under DRDS cadre. Every year RAC recruits Scientists in DRDS mostly at entry level Scientist 'B'. Depending on the requirements in specialized areas of research & development, limited number of scientists are also recruited in higher grades (Scientist 'C' to Scientist 'G').
Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) was established in November 1995 as a self accounting unit of DRDO. The Centre conducts DRDO Entry Test and recruits eligible scientific and technical staff of DRDO, including SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS (STA), TECHNICIANS (TECH) and ADMINISTRATIVE & ALLIED CADRES. About DRDO-SET exam
DRDO-SET is normally conducted on all India basis on 1st Sunday of September every year in order to provide equal opportunity to all students from different educational institutions. Click here to see important dates for DRDO-SET exam this year.
In cases, where very few vacancies are available, NO SET exam is conducted and the individuals are directly called for the interview. The advertisement generally appears during the month of April / May every year.
